AUBURN – Greg Massey hurled a complete-game gem to lead the Great Falls Outlaws to an 8-0 men’s senior baseball victory over the league-leading Auburn White Sox at Pettingill Park Sunday.

Massey allowed only four hits and one walk while striking out three. Randy Marcum and Scott Berube led an error-free Outlaws defensive effort.

The win was the fourth straight for the Outlaws and fifth in their last six games.

Outlaws jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first off losing pitcher Sean Cheetham. Craig Farrington had a clutch two-out, two-run single to seize the momentum for the Outlaws. It remained 3-0 with solid pitching from Massey and Sox reliever Steve Labossiere (2-3 at the plate) until the top of the seventh. The winners closed out the scoring with one run in the seventh, two in the eighth and two in the ninth.

Scott Berube had a single and an RBI triple to lead the offense. Farrington and Chris Reed each had a hit and two RBIs. Roland Berube added an RBI single. The Outlaws are now 6-4 on the season.
