Grange night

POLAND – Excelsior Grange 5 has scheduled a fun night on Saturday, Aug. 4, at Roy’s Miniature Golf, Route 4, Auburn. Members and friends will gather at 4 p.m. for a snack and a round of golf.

Vacation school

AUBURN – The Auburn Advent Christian Church, 263 Turner St., will hold vacation Bible time for grades kindergarten through six from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday through Friday, Aug. 6 to 10.

A western theme, “Avalanche Ranch,” will be used as take a wild ride through God’s Word. Class will be available for teens and adults as well, and for those interested there will be a nursery and preschool program.

A kickoff rally will be held from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, in the church parking lot with food, games and fun.

Market music

LEWISTON – The Lewiston Farmers’ Market will be open from 2 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 7, at Kennedy Park, near the corner of Bates and Pine streets. Live music will be performed by a group of local student musicians, the Kind of Blue Quartet.

The market’s fourth season will offer fresh, locally-grown produce, baked goods, Maine specialty foods, cooking demonstrations, free recipes and food samples and booths with information on health and wellness.

Magic show

GREENE – Magician Philip Smith will present his show, “Abracadabra,” at the annual Children’s Day program at 2 p.m. only on Thursday, Aug. 9, at the Araxine Wilkins Sawyer Memorial, 371 Sawyer Road.

Seeking crafters

LEWISTON – Tommy’s Feral Feline Friends is looking for crafters in the surrounding area to aid the cause. The nonprofit organization depends solely on donations to help animals with food, medical needs, including spaying/neutering, and care.

Teen session

AUBURN – An Auburn Teen Library Advisers meeting will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 9, at Auburn Public Library to plan a Teen Risk Tournament.
