Alumni meeting

FARMINGTON – The Farmington Area Alumni Association will hold is annual meeting and banquet on Saturday, Aug. 11, at Mt. Blue High School. The social hour will begin at 4 p.m. and dinner will be served at 6. Fifteen scholarship recipients for 2007 will be recognized. There will be a brief business meeting.

All Farmington High School and Mt. Blue graduates and their guests are welcome. There will be room for last-minute drop-ins.

The seventh annual golf tournament to raise money for scholarships will begin at noon on Friday, Aug. 10, at the Wilson Lake Country Club.

Open house

JAY – The Jay Historical Society will hold its annual open house on Saturday, Aug. 11. The theme/dedication this year is veterans.

Members will have a display of pictures and articles on all the wars in the meeting room, which they have been working on for months. There will be a food table and donations of food will be accepted.

The Jay Firemen’s Museum will also be open for tours.
