AUBURN – The Fairfield Rockies defeated the Auburn White Sox 4-1 Sunday in the Central Maine Men’s Senior Baseball League.

Randy Brodeur pitched a complete game for the win. Auburn Starter Sean Cheetham tossed the first 5 innings and was saddled with the loss. Dan Coleman hurled 4 scoreless innings in relief.

The Rockies tallied a run in the third, then exploded for 3 in the fifth. Brodeur rapped a 2-run single and Pete Kirby had an RBI hit.

Jim Wacenske scampered home on an errant throw to first in the eighth to plate the lone Sox run.

Kirby finnished with 3 hits. Kevin Guertin and Troy Eafrati added 2 hits each. Repeat hitters for Auburn were Steve Labossiere, Wacenske, Mike Brennan and Jamie Lobb.

The Sox are now 8-3.
