WOODSTOCK – The Oxford County Democrats will hold their annual summer barbecue and Family Fun Day from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, rain or shine, at the Maine Conservation School, Lake Shore Road, Lake Christopher.

County Chairwoman Cathy Newell has received confirmations of attendance from Gov. John E. Baldacci, Congressman Mike Michaud, Senate candidate and Congressman Tom Allen, many legislative and party leaders and all Oxford County Democratic legislators and county officials.

All facilities of the Maine Conservation School will be open to attendees, including swimming and use of canoes and kayaks.

A cookout lunch will be served from 2 to 3 p.m., including hamburgers, hot dogs and veggie options, prepared by the conservation school staff. There will be a program at 3, followed by an afternoon at the lake.

Tickets are $20 a person, including meal and donation to the Oxford County Democrats; with children under 10, $5. Tickets are $10 for those who do not wish to have a meal. Tickets available by calling 875-2116.

Tim Carter, Newell, Mike Broderick, Roy Gedat, Nancy Willard, Bill Kieffer, Clancy and Carol Allen, India Haynes, Wes and Marilyn Ackley, Ken and Gwyneth Bohr, Marge and Bill Medd, Henry and Patricia Stewart and Herb and Mary Adams.
