Philip N. Drouin of South Paris graduated May 11 from Central Maine Community College, receiving an associate in applied science degree in business management and administration.

He was a member of the baseball team, the Mustangs, and a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society for community college students. Phi Theta Kappa recognizes and encourages the academic achievement of two-year college students. Phi Theta Kappa members must have and maintain a grade point average of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale.

Drouin graduated from Paris Christian Academy, South Paris, on June 1 and from the Word of Life Hungary Bible School in Toalmas, Hungary, on Aug. 7, 2003. While at Word of Life, he taught English in Budapest for two years and spent one summer in Dures, Albania, as the sports director for a Child Evangelism Fellowship children’s camp.

Drouin is the son of Paul and Laura Drouin of South Paris, the grandson of Helen Heikkinen and the late Toivo Heikkinen of South Paris, and the grandson of the late Fernand Drouin of Lewiston.
