WAYNE – The Friends of Wayne are hosting “Homes of Wayne: a Home and Fall Garden Tour,” rain or shine, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. The tour will showcase 10 historic Wayne Village homes and fall gardens and may be visited in any order.
Most are within walking distance in the heart of the village, with several a short ride away.
Complimentary refreshments will be served at the yacht club. Visitors may purchase box lunches at the local shops and picnic at a private garden or on the porch overlooking the small harbor at the yacht club.
Advance tickets are $16; on day of the event, $20. The tour will benefit the Cary Memorial Library and the Wayne Community Church.
Tickets will be available at the library or the church in Wayne and at Apple Valley Books and D.R. Struck Landscaping Nursery in Winthrop and Longfellow’s Nursery in Manchester. Maps and the event brochure will be available at the library on the day of the tour.
