LEWISTON – The Institute for Civic Leadership will presents “Fundraising Fundamentals” from 8:30 a.m. to noon Thursday, Oct. 18, at USM Lewiston-Auburn College, 51 Westminster St.

The workshop is for nonprofit board members and executive staff.

Most board members are not born effective fundraisers, but with education and training, they can learn what is required for a nonprofit to be successful at fundraising and how each can help.

The workshop will give an introduction to key aspects of an effective fundraising program and the board’s role in each.

The session will provide an overview of annual giving, fundraising and friend-raising events and planned gifts, as well as an in-depth “how to” training on asking for major gifts.

Registration fee is $70 for the first person from an organization; $55 for each additional member from the same organization.
