9:29 p.m. Maine Warden Service advises it is en route with boat.

9:38 p.m. Notation of two subjects removed from the water.

9:45 p.m. Cumberland County deputy reports that cigarette boat has launched into woods 200 feet.

10 p.m. Call for mutual aid goes out for accident.

10:23 p.m. Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office advises it cannot respond with boat.

10:23 p.m. Lake resident calls and offers his pontoon boat to help in rescue effort.

10:24 p.m. Report of multiple boat cushions and life vests floating in water.

10:26 p.m. LifeFlight of Maine called, but advises cannot respond as spotlight is not working.

10:32 U.S. Coast Guard advises it is responding with helicopter.

10:35 p.m. Boston Globe reporter calls seeking information on accident.

11:06 p.m. Rescue crews begin to pull boat wreckage to shore.

11:35 p.m. Cumberland County Sheriff’s deputy calls requesting address for Raye Trott.

11:42 p.m. Warden calls requesting information on another party (person’s name and date of birth blacked out).

Sunday, Aug. 12

12:07 a.m. Lake resident who offered help in rescue effort notes he gave a cooler he found in the water and two different-colored women’s sandals to marine safety officer.

1:20 a.m. Warden notes cooler found on scene is now in police substation.

1:33 a.m. Naples officer advised to let Warden Service official into town office to check boat registration records.

Warden Service and local emergency responders remain on scene searching for victims and survivors throughout the day. Search called off at darkness.

Monday, Aug. 13.

8 a.m. Warden Service divers resume search for missing boaters.

10:45 a.m. Warden Service officials confirm two people are missing and presumed dead.

4 p.m. Local thunderstorm causes slight delay in effort to recover bodies and evidence.

4:30 p.m. Search resumes until dark.

Tuesday, Aug. 14

8 a.m. Divers return to searching for bodies and evidence.

10 a.m. A woman’s body and sunken portions of smaller motorboat are located by Warden Service diver in about 40 feet of water.

11:45 a.m. Body of man believed to be Raye Trott of Naples is located nearby.

Today:

Warden Service and Maine State Police divers are expected to continue efforts to remove evidence and debris from the lake.
