HALLOWELL – The wedding of Andrea Dawn Spoden and Eric Joseph Swasey was held at 4 p.m. June 9 at Maple Hill Farm Inn in Hallowell. Martha Brann, grandmother of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Swasey is the daughter of Vernon and Dawn Spoden of South China. Mr. Swasey is the son of Barry and Sue Swasey of Andover.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a halter style gown with A-line skirt with embroidered beads and crystals covering the bodice and train. She carried a bouquet of white lilies and white and purple roses with a mix of purple, blue and green fillers.

Jennifer Newcomb served as honor attendant for her friend. Bridesmaids were Amanda Junkins, friend of the bride, Angela Hinds, sister of the bride, and Katie Swasey, sister of the bridegroom. Hayley Hinds, niece of the bride, was flower girl.

Nate Hurd and Dan Stevens served as best men for their friend. Ushers were Kier Simmons, cousin of the bridegroom, and Brian Donahue, friend of the bridegroom. Braydon Hinds, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

A reception followed at Maple Hill Farm Inn, after which the couple traveled to the Sandals Grande in Ocho Rios, Jamaica.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Southern Maine Community College with a degree in nursing. She is employed in the emergency department at Maine Medical Center.

The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of Southern Maine Community College with a degree in law enforcement. He is employed at the Maine Department of Corrections.
