LEWISTON – 20-M Club defeated BT Pallet 11-10 in the bottom of the 7th to capture the post-season championship in the National Division of the Lewiston Rec Men’s Softball League.
20-M and the American Division champ, Ball Busters, now await the results of the Auburn Players League playoffs. Lewiston champions will meet Auburn’s top 2 finishers under the lights in Auburn after Labor Day.

AUBURN -Meineke Muffler advanced in the winner’s bracket of the playoffs Thursday, outlasting Major Automotive 16-13. Major struck for 8 runs in the 3rd inning and 4 more in the 4th. Meineke came back with 9 in the 5th and 6 more in the 7th to claim the victory. Scott Lovejoy walloped a homer for the winners. Bob Sawyer, Brad O’Connor and John Langelier all had key hits. Joe Spugnardi belted 3 hits for the Automen. Matt Roy and Scott Bourget ripped homers.
Four elimination games are slated tonight, as follows: 6:00, Major Automotive vs Lincoln Street Radiator, Pett; S&D Sheet Metal vs Pride Concrete, Tribou; Interstate Batteries vs Tail Gators, Lakeview-1; 7:30, Gritty’s vs REMAX, 7:30, Pett.
Winner’s bracket games are slated Tuesday at Pettengill, as follows: 6:00, E.S.M. vs Meineke; 7:30, Webber Ave.-Buckfield vs Hart Transportation.
Two elimination contests are scheduled Tuesday, Winner Major-Lincoln Street vs Winner Gritty’s-REMAX, Tribou, 6:00; Winner S&D-Pride vs Winner Interstate-Tail Gators, Lake-1.
Championship game is set for August 26.
