OES luncheon

AUBURN – Pine Cone Chapter 26, Order of the Eastern Star, will hold its annual lobster salad luncheon for life members at noon Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Masonic Hall, 1021 Turner St. Glenna Davis will receive her 50-year pin from the Grand Chapter of Maine.

Cuts for Kids

LEWISTON – Cuts for Kids will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 26, at hair salons throughout Androscoggin County. For a $10 donation, patrons can get a haircut and support programming for parents and children through Advocates for Children.

Participating salons include Taboo Hair Design, 28 Bates St., Lewiston, 783-0139, and Madison Avenue Salon, 168 Main St., Auburn. 782-5920.

Crafters needed

POLAND – The Parent-Teacher Association will hold its 25th annual craft fair on Saturday Nov. 17. Crafters are needed. Straight space sections are available to rent for $40 or a corner section for $45. Those who register by Sept. 1 will receive a $5 discount. Bridge results

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Duplicate Bridge Club met on Aug. 14 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: first, David Lock and Martine Begert; second, Mary Leahey and Patricia Quinn; tied at third, Charles Bartlett and Helen Little with Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner.

Flight B was a tie between Charles Bartlett and Helen Little with Lucille Bilodeau and Alberta Turner. Another game will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the center.

The club also met on Aug. 15 at Schooner Estates in Auburn. Winners were: first, Richard Allen and Martine Begert; second, Mike and Patricia Quinn; third, Alberta Turner and Lucille Bilodeau.

Another game will be held at Schooner Estates at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22. A partner is guaranteed at both games. For more information and/or a partner, call Lucille Theriault at 783-0431.

The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club met on Aug. 13 at the Multi-Purpose Center. Winners in Flight A were: first, Luke Merry and Lucille Bilodeau; second, Martine Begert and Mary Leahey; third, Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements; fourth, Ron and Connie Reynolds; fifth, Della Starbird and Eileen Potvin.

Winners in Flight B were: first, Nancy Farmer and Marta Clements; second, Della Starbird and Eileen Potvin; third, Richard Balian and Richard Allen. Winners in Flight C were: first, Della Starbird and Eileen Potvin; second, Fred Bates and Paul Beegel.
