LEWISTON – Geiger held a 5K Walk/Run at its Summit Educational Conference in Tampa, Fla., on July 27 to benefit the March of Dimes. Participants included Geiger sales partners, Geiger’s top production partners and Geiger associates.

The fastest runner, sales partner Melissa Beauchesne, crossed the finish line at 19 minutes and 51 seconds. A total of 94 men and women entered the race and, with the help of more than 450 conference attendees, they raised $6,000 for the March of Dimes.

The March of Dimes aims to increase awareness of premature births through education and research. Babies who are born prematurely face increased risk of serious medical complications. To inform the public about the problem, the March of Dimes has produced television, radio and print materials that will be distributed across the country.
