Circle supper
PARIS – The Ladies Circle of the First Congregational Church of South Paris will sponsor a baked bean supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 31.
The menu will include baked beans, casseroles, salads, hot dogs, brown bread, homemade rolls and homemade pies. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12.
Club auction
PARIS – The Oxford County 4-H Teen Exchange and Career Club is learning about different careers and is working on a two-year exchange trip to expand their horizons through education and career opportunities.
The group, in the past, has hosted Florida, Minnesota, Virginia, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
Money is being raised to help pay for the travel to Ohio. A 4-H group from Seneca County, Ohio, just visited Maine. They toured the coastal area and the White Mountains in New Hampshire.
On Saturday, Sept. 8, the Oxford County Teen Exchange and Career Club will hold an auction at the Paris Fire Station to raise money to help with travel expenses.
They are looking for items that can be auctioned such as new or usable merchandise or gift certificates. For more information regarding the Teen Exchange Program, contact Jim or Gail Trundy at 966-2913 or Donna Brackett at 369-8084.
Trip to Salem
PARIS – Oxford Hills Travelers is planning a journey to Haunted Happenings on Saturday, Oct. 27.

Church fundraiser
NORWAY – The Pinpoint of Light Spiritualist Center recently held a church fundraiser at the Fare Share Commons. Laurie Xanthos gave messages from the other side.
Light refreshments were offered. The drawing for a reading was won by Jim Mason of Poland.
