LEWISTON – Classmates and friends from the Lisbon area from 50 years ago and earlier will gather for the golden reunion, to be held at the Ramada Inn on Saturday, Sept. 8. Registration will start at 10:30 a.m. with gathering and greeting, followed by a buffet dinner at noon. Recognition of classes and entertainment will conclude the program.

In its 18th year, the golden reunion includes members of every class from 1936 to 1957 of the former Lisbon Falls High School and Lisbon High School. The golden reunion has grown over the years, and now nearly 200 class members from 50 years or more ago, along with husbands and wives, gather for the annual event.

Since the Lisbon High School Class of 1952 will celebrate its 55th reunion along with the golden reunion this year, members of the class will lead the group in singing the school “Fight Song.” Charles Plummer, a member of the class and a local historian and speaker, will reminisce with stories from the various classes along with news and events from their high school years.

Members of the Class of 1957 or any class before that are invited to attend. For reservations, call Merton Ricker at 353-4004, e-mail [email protected] or write to Golden Reunion, Merton Ricker, 83 Upland Road, Lisbon Falls, ME 04252. Reservations must be made by Monday, Sept. 3.
