KENNEBUNKPORT (AP) – Things are getting back to normal in three Maine communities that hosted big events over the weekend.

The largest was the American Folk Festival in Bangor, which featured dancing, music, art and other attractions, as well as plenty of food. More than 100,000 people attended the three-day event, a spinoff of the National Folk Festival that set up shop in Bangor from 2002 to 2004.

In Kennebunkport, about 4,000 people including Cindy Sheehan participated in a march by the Bush family compound on Saturday, said Police Chief Joseph Bruni.

In Phippsburg, residents on Sunday wrapped up four days of festivities marking the 400th anniversary of Maine’s Popham colony.
