BUCKFIELD – On Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 11-12, the Oddfellow Theater welcomed volunteers to help prepare the theater for the opening of its 10th season. One of the major projects was finishing touches to the new lobby. Other improvements included gardening and landscaping, painting and repairing seats.

“The amount of support we have received from the community over the last 10 years amazes me,” said Mike Miclon, executive director at Oddfellow Theater. “It’s really an interesting thing that we are able to provide a place where people from the community I grew up in can come to enjoy quality family entertainment, and they do keep coming and supporting us.”

Opening night for the 10th season is set for Saturday Sept. 8. Doors will open at 6 p.m. for a cocktail hour and mingling with Miclon; the show will begin at 7:30 p.m. The evening will also feature talent that has been scheduled for the upcoming season. Hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will also be available at this black-tie optional event.

Tickets are $25 for all seats. For more information, call 336-3306 or log on to www.oddfellow.com.
