FARMINGTON – Western Maine Transportation Services has announced the Franklin County Green Bus schedule effective Saturday, Sept. 1.
Monday through Friday the Green Bus provides fixed-route service connecting Farmington and Wilton between 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.
On alternating Tuesdays, the Green Bus runs from the Rangeley and Kingfield areas to the Farmington area. The service connecting Rangeley and Farmington also serves Strong, Phillips, Temple and Wilton on demand. The service connecting Kingfield and Farmington also serves Carrabassett Valley, Stratton and Eustis on demand.
Thursdays the Green Bus offers service connecting Jay and Farmington. This route also serves Wilton, Weld, Livermore Falls and Carthage on demand.
Every Friday the Green Bus travels from Farmington, Wilton, Jay, Livermore Falls, Livermore and Turner to the Lewiston-Auburn area, leaving Farmington at 9 a.m., arriving in L/A at 11 a.m., returning from L/A at 3 p.m. and arriving back in Farmington at 5 p.m.
The third Wednesday of every month, the Green Bus Maine Mall run leaves the Farmington area at 8 a.m., with pick-ups in Farmington, Wilton, Jay and Livermore Falls. The bus arrives at the Maine Mall at 10 a.m. The return trip leaves the Maine Mall area at 2 p.m. and arrives back in Farmington at 4 p.m.
