This is in response to the letter from Edna Morin, printed Aug. 25. She stated that she planned her vacation trip to Maine each year to coincide with the Great Falls Balloon Festival, but was disappointed by the lack of Franco music the past few years.
I would suggest that she plan her trips to coincide with the annual FrancoFun Festival instead. It’s usually celebrated a week or two before the Balloon Festival, and there are three days of great French music, as well as traditional French food such as tortieres (meat pies), crepes and just as much food as there is entertainment.
Plus, I’m certain that many entertainers would have CDs to sell, so she could enjoy the same great music the rest of the year down there in Kentucky, in anticipation of the next year’s festival.
