LEWISTON – Alternative Services Inc. announces that Denis Gilbert and Howard Fogg have been named employees of the year. The announcement took place at the company picnic on Aug. 20.

Gilbert, a home manager of two residential homes, was awarded home manager of the year. He has been employed for nine years with the agency. Along with his duties of home manager for one adolescent home and one adult home, he also fills the role of health and safety officer.

Fogg, a residential specialist for an assisted living facility, was awarded residential specialist for the year. He has been employed for two years with the agency. He has exceeded his job duties in several areas and has been a very active member of the agency morale committee.

Also at the company picnic, those employees with 5- and 10-year anniversaries were recognized. The 10-year employees are Sally Frost, Leah Frechette, Hank Brown, Harold Paine, Anne Ivey, Edward Knightly, Karen Coates, Jewel McHale and Pamela Downing. The 5-year employees are Penny Baker, Lorie Morin, Haakon Tecono, Deborah Perkins, Faith Jones, Jill Dyer, Billy Asselin, Rachel Mack, Sean Moore and Misty White.
