Regarding Ms. Suzy Bottomley’s letter of August 25, which hinted we, the Joneses, are buried in garbage up to our shoulders because we are not well read or don’t listen to the right news. Well, we do get 100 percent of our information from Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter.

Just kidding.

Seriously, I don’t think we get covered in garbage by reading the local newspapers, USA Today, The Wall Street Journal and U.S. News & World Report. We also read some blogs like the Drudge Report, Town Hall and Newsmax, along with many columnists from both sides of the aisle – even The New York Times.

We watch and listen to Fox News, the “Sabbathday Gasbags” and quite a few talk radio programs – yes, Limbaugh is one, along with Dr. Laura Ingraham, Bill Bennett, Sean Hannity, Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved, Dennis Preger, Quentin Rose and Glenn Beck. Most of these hosts have terrific guests and a few very intelligent callers. I even tried to listen to Air America until they drove me, like everybody else, away with their anti-American tirades.

We do not watch NBC, CBS or ABC. They destroyed their credibility by false and selective reporting.

If the above-mentioned “alternative media” covers us in garbage, we are in good company.
