LEWISTON – Persons wishing to run for the office of district supervisor for the Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District should contact the district office at 254 Goddard Road, PO Box 1938, Lewiston, ME 04241, or call 753-9400, ext. 400, to obtain nomination papers.

The district has one elected supervisor position for a three-year period and two appointed supervisor positions to be filled for a three-year and a one-year term.

Nomination papers must be received at the district office no later than Sept. 17. Any person who desires to run for the office must be a registered, resident voter within the boundaries of the Androscoggin Valley Soil and Water Conservation District (Androscoggin and Sagadahoc counties).

All registered voters living in the district are eligible to vote. Ballots are to be mailed to all cooperators by Oct. 12. Others wishing to vote must contact the district in order to receive a ballot.

All ballots will need to be received by noon on Nov. 12 and will be counted by Nov. 15. Additional information may be obtained by contacting District Election Superintendent Jane Heikkinen at 753-9400, ext 400.
