Society supper

FARMINGTON – The Farmington Historical Society will meet Monday, Sept. 10, at the Henderson Memorial Baptist Church.

A potluck supper at 6 p.m. will be followed by a business meeting and program at 7.

The program, “You Are Your Ancestors,” will be presented by Sherwood Anderson. Guests and new members are welcome.

Seniors to meet

LIVERMORE FALLS – The Livermore Falls-Jay Senior Citizens will gather at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Murray Hall, 69 Main St., for the first meeting since the summer hiatus.

There will be a casserole meal, and each member is asked to bring a covered dish of their choosing.

Bike toy run

RUMFORD – Oxford County United Bikers of Maine will hold the annual Toy Run on Sunday, Sept. 9, at the Windsor Fairgrounds. The group from Rumford will meet at the information booth parking lot at 7:30 a.m. and will leave at 8, arriving at L/A Harley Davidson dealership for a pancake breakfast.

They will then will to the Augusta Civic Center and on to the Windsor Fairgrounds to drop off toys and watch the parade of bikes.
