PERU – The Peru Historical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, at the Rockemeka Grange Hall.

Quilters to meet

RUMFORD – Rumford Area Quilters will resume monthly meetings at 6:30 p.m. beginning Monday, Sept. 10, at the Rumford United Methodist Church, Linnell Street.

Those attending are asked to bring a favorite old/new/quilted apron for a special apron display. Show and tell is always welcome.

Storytime set

DIXFIELD – Storytime for preschoolers, ages 3 to 5, will begin on Monday, Sept. 10, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Ludden Memorial Library.

The children will be introduced to new books from the library’s shelves, as well as having old favorites read to them. There will be a craft appropriate to the story theme, and a light snack will be served.

Bowling to begin

RUMFORD – The Lucky Rollers Bowling League will start the new season at 5:30 p.m. Monday, Sept. 10, at Oxford Lanes. New bowlers are welcome. Call Nina Rollins at 364-7394 or the lanes at 364-7800 for details.
