LEWISTON – The YWCA of Central Maine has begun registering swimmers for the fall swim lessons.
The lessons are offered Monday through Thursday morning, afternoon and evening and Saturday morning. Classes are available for ages 6 months to adult. Classes may be a half hour or an hour long, depending on level.
Classes will begin on Saturday, Sept. 8, and will run seven to eight weeks. The cost is $63.50 for seven weeks and $69 for eight weeks. Participants must be members of the YWCA.
Basic membership to the YWCA is good for a year and allows members to participate in YWCA programs on a pay-as-you-go basis. Basic membership fees are: child, up to age 12, $30; youth, age 13 to 17, $35; adult, 18 to 59, $55; senior citizen, age 60+, $45.

Private swim lessons are also available by appointment. The cost is $25 a half-hour session. Participants must be members of the YWCA. To book a private lesson, call the YWCA.
