STONEHAM – Tony Payne, executive director, Alliance for Maine’s Future, will be the featured speaker at the Tuesday, Sept. 11, meeting of the Oxford County Republican Committee to be held at the Stoneham Congregational Church on Route 5.
The evening will begin with a social hour at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner, the speaker and a brief business meeting. Payne will outline his organization’s ideas for changing Maine’s economy and suggest new approaches to critical issues facing the state. All interested area Republicans are invited.
State Sen. David R. Hastings, R-Fryeburg, and State Rep. H. Sawin Millett, R-Waterford, were the featured speakers at the Aug. 14 meeting of the county committee at the Fryeburg Fairgrounds.
During the business meeting, State Committeewoman Becky Kendall of Bethel was selected as Oxford County’s representative on the Maine Republican Party’s Platform Committee.
