STONEHAM – The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War Hannah F. Richardson Tent 19, East Stoneham, met on Aug. 22 at the K of P Hall with six members present plus one prospective member.

All members and interested persons are invited to meet in front of the Norway Legion Hall at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 11, for a flag display in honor and memory of those lost in the terrorism attacks on Sept. 11, 2001. Those attending may bring a flag or one will be provided.

The group will serve supper Tuesday, Sept. 11, to a Republican group at the church vestry in East Stoneham.

The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the home of Gail and Ken Butterfield, Deer Hill Road, Harrison.

Once again the tent will fill Christmas stockings for the service men and women overseas. All donations will be accepted.
