WEST Paris – Marilyn H. Brown, 81, formerly of High Street in South Paris, passed away Saturday, Sept. 8, at Ledgeview Living Center in West Paris following a brief illness.
She was born in West Peru on Feb. 8, 1926, a daughter of Henry G. and Grace A. (York) Hall.
She was educated in Rumford schools and was a graduate of Stephens High School, class of 1944.
She married Earl W. Brown on Aug. 9, 1946; he passed away on July 4, 1980.
She was employed for many years at Oxford Federal Credit Union.
She was a communicant of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church.
She enjoyed reading and going out to eat at different restaurants.
She is survived by a daughter, Debora J. Brown of Rumford; a sister, Jean Davis of Albuquerque, N.M.; a grandson, Christopher Brown and companion, Tonya Kennison; a great-granddaughter, Haley Marie Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Earl W. Brown; and a son, Dennis Brown.
