NORWAY – The Child Health Center recently received a grant from the Maine Community Foundation’s Oxford County Fund. The grant will enable the Child Health Center to expand the resource material available at the center.
The funds will also help in purchasing racks for displaying the materials and a place for other agencies in the community to display and distribute information regarding services in the Oxford Hills area. The material will provide tips on a wide range topics, including child growth and family development.
The information will be available at the Child Health Center’s new facility in Oxford, which is slated to open in late September. The new center will continue to offer a developmental therapy preschool, Big Brothers Big Sisters programs and the Parent Place services for teen and adolescent parents.
In addition to the existing programs, the center will offer a new child care program for children birth through school age as well as after-school care and a half-day preschool.
The Child Health Center is a nonprofit organization located in Norway with branch offices in Auburn and Dixfield.
