LISBON FALLS – The Lisbon Rotary new officers for 2007-2008 met with the fellowship on Sept. 4 at Blake’s Grill.

New officers, elected during the summer, are planning the year’s community events. On Saturday, Sept. 15, members will participate in the Fall Festival at Lisbon High School. Proceeds from the Rotary’s “duck pond” event will be donated to the Class of 2009 for Project Graduation and other student activities.

A spaghetti dinner is planned for Wednesday, Sept. 24, benefiting the student award programs at Lisbon Community School, Philip W. Sugg Middle School and Lisbon High School.

The biggest event the Lisbon Rotary sponsors is a Thanksgiving Day dinner for members of the community who may have no family in the area or who are away from loved ones during the holidays.

Lisbon Rotary meets at 7:15 a.m. every Tuesday at Blake’s Grill. For more information, contact club Secretary Ora Madden at 353-3000, ext. 107, or e-mail [email protected] or community service director Monica Millhime at 754-0021 or [email protected].
