AUBURN – Two youth football leagues under the direction of the Auburn Parks and Recreation Department will kick off their season today.

The Two Rivers Youth Football Tackle League (Grades 3-4) has 5 entries, Monmouth, Winthrop, Green Auburn, Blue Auburn and Buckfield. Following is today’s opening schedule: Winthrop at Monmouth, Cumston Park, 11:00; Blue Auburn vs Green Auburn, Chestnut Street Field, 12:00; Buckfield has a bye.

Eight teams are entered in the Two Rivers Grades 5-6 Youth Football League. They are White Auburn, Red Auburn, Green Oxford, Yellow Oxford, Blue Oxford, Buckfield, Monmouth and Tri-Town.

Today’s opening slate: 9 a.m., White Auburn vs Red Auburn, Chestnut Street Field; Green Oxford vs Yellow Oxford, Gouin Field; 11:00, Buckfield at Blue Oxford, Gouin Field; 1:00, Tri-Town at Monmouth, Cumston Park.
