FREEPORT – Kurt Perham, 36, of Brunswick was the overall winner in the Tri-Maine Productions Triathlon Saturday at Winslow Park. His winning time was 2:04:33. Second was Milos Janicek, 27, of Boston, 2:05:09, followed by Rob McCulloch, 45, of Ottawa, Canada, 2:05:48.

In the Women’s Division, Catherine Sterling, 31, of Kents Hill took first with a clocking of 2:11:00, just beating Kim Webster, 31, of Framingham, Mass., who had a time of 2:11:12. Finishing third was Erin Brennan, 42, of Portland, 2:20:37.

In the aquabike competition, Scott McLaurin, 50, of Houston, Texas, was first with a time of 1:30:47, while Lauren Trocchio, 27, of Portland, took first among the women, 1:38:34.

Trap shoot slated

OXFORD – The Lake Thompson Fish & Game Club will hold a running deer and trap shoot on Sunday, Sept. 23 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the club shooting range on the Paine Road in East Oxford. More information can be obtained by calling Don Record at 539-4407.

Gun show planned

HARRISON – The Harrison Lions Club will conduct its first annual gun show on Saturday, Sept. 29 at the Harrison VFW Hall on Route 35, Waterford Road.

The show will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Limited dealer tables are available.
