The question that sprang to mind while reading the article about JoAnn Karkos and the theft of a library book (Sept. 18) was not about sex education. It was a question about the golden rule.

If Ms. Karkos really believes she has the right to veto library books, does she think this is a right she alone has, or does she believe that anyone in the community can come into the library and remove from circulation any book found in any way objectionable?

I await her answer.
