Classic College Football: Washington at USC, 1988

1 p.m., ESPN Classic

Rodney Peete before he even heard of Rob Dibble, John Salley and Chris Rose. Comes across as a much happier man while beating the Huskies.

MLB: A’s at Red Sox

7 p.m., NESN

MLB: Braves at Phillies

7 p.m., ESPN

Summer House

7 p.m., ESPN2

The premise — take a half-dozen incoming college football players, make them live together in a house for eight days with Chris Spielman as the house Dad, manufacture a bunch of “challenges” for them “to test their character and learn lessons,” film it, and put it on a third-rate network (this series is a staple of ESPNU). The NCAA doesn’t have a problem with this but they’ll put your program on probation if you loan one of these kids some money for a sandwich.

8 p.m., ESPN2
