A wide variety of crafters always set up at Oktoberfest, and 2006 was no exception. Tables are still available for Oct. 13.
Rumford rotary plans Oktoberfest
RUMFORD – Tables are still available for the Oktoberfest sponsored by the Rumford Area Rotary from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at the Adult Activity Center (the former armory building) on Lincoln Avenue.
Crafters and other groups and individuals will be allowed to set up on Friday, Oct. 12, from 3 to 5 p.m. and at 7:30 a.m. on the day of the show.
A single table space is $25 (about 9 by 9 feet); a double, $40. Checks should be made out to the Rumford Area Rotary and mailed to Joe Sirois, 85 Lincoln Ave., Rumford, ME 04276. Applicants should include their name, address, phone number and the type of business, craft or activity. The need for electricity should also be indicated.
In addition to crafters and nonprofit organizations, Rotary and its Interact Club will offer a pancake breakfast, pizza lunch and sweet treats from the kitchen. There is no admission fee and the public is welcome at Oktoberfest.
