LIVERMORE FALLS – Apple-Pumpkin Festival organizers have a full schedule of events and activities listed to highlight the area and its people Saturday.
The festival runs from 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. Sept. 29 at the Livermore Falls Recreation Field off Foundry Road behind the Municipal Building.
Music will begin a half-hour before the festival officially starts with Lola Lee & the Country Bandits scheduled to play from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., Silver & Gold from 10:35 to 11:35 a.m., The Melodears from 11:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m., Da Bluez Preacher from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. and White Dove Country Gospel Band from 1:50 to 3 p.m.
There will be special events, activities and games for children, including pumpkin toss and decorating, a slide and pony rides along with more than 50 vendors spread around the field.
The latter includes food, craft demonstrations, history displays, K-9 demonstrations and OUI awareness using golf carts.
The Ways of the Woods, a mobile museum, will set up to show the changing relationships of people and the land to showcase the history, culture and heritage of the northern forest.
