WILTON – An early-morning accident on Route 2 sent two people to the hospital with minor injuries, police officer Blaine Rackliff said.

Kelley Jo Couture, 24, of Wilton was leaving her driveway beside Route 2 near Pond Road at 7:28 a.m. when her vehicle and one driven by Kelly Osgood, 46, of East Dixfield collided.

Both drivers were taken by ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital. Osgood suffered a shoulder injury from the air bag, and Couture was having chest pain, also from her air bag, Rackliff said.

Both were treated and released, a hospital representative said Thursday.

Osgood was driving a 2000 Ford van, which received damage estimated at $5,000, and Couture’s 1998 Subaru Legacy was totaled, Rackliff said.
