BOSTON (AP) – The Coast Guard says six people have been rescued from a fishing boat that was taking on water about 40 miles southeast of Nantucket.

The six from the Plymouth-based Jacob Allen were picked up from a life raft by another fishing boat, the Sancor, at about 6 p.m. The Coast Guard says there are no injuries.

The Sancor is taking the rescued people to New Bedford, where they are expected to arrive at about 6 a.m. Saturday.

The Coast Guard is warning mariners to avoid the partly submerged Jacob Allen.
