PRATTVILLE, Ala. – Lorena Ochoa, seeking her fourth consecutive win, shot a 3-under-par 69 and overtook Stacy Prammanasudh on the last hole to take a one-stroke lead into the final day at the Navistar LPGA Classic.
Prammanasudh, who carried a three-stroke lead into the day, three-putted for bogey on the 18th hole. She overshot the hole on the 12-foot downhill birdie putt, starting the trouble and shot a 73 – 10 strokes worse than her opening round.
Ochoa birdied the final three holes to cut a six-stroke deficit in half on Friday, and added two more on 12 and 15.
She has been hard to catch on Sundays. Ochoa entered the final day with the lead in five of her six victories this year.

MADISON, Miss. – David Branshaw shot a 3-under-par 69 to lead by two strokes after three rounds, with a crowd of 17 golfers within six shots of him going into the final day.
Bill Haas had a 70 and was in second place while Chad Campbell moved into contention with a 64 that left him three strokes behind at 10 under. He was tied with Shaun Micheel and Johnson Wagner, who both shot 68s.
Two-time champion Fred Funk led a group of nine that sat four back at 9 under and six others were 8 under and well in contention.
Haas, the son of longtime PGA and Champions tours veteran Jay Haas, missed a 9-foot birdie putt at 17 that could have reduced Branshaw’s lead. He had three bogeys but he made four birdies, including 13-foot putts on Nos. 2 and 11 and a 12-footer on No. 15.
