Between Monday, Sept. 24 at 7 a.m. and Thursday, Sept. 27 at 7 a.m. this department responded to 332 calls for service. Of those calls, 56 of them were motor vehicle stops.

Criminal Mischief
A vehicle parked at 19 Mollison Way was keyed between 8:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Sept. 25.
A residence at 930 Sabattus St. had a window screen cut in an attempt to gain entry overnight Sept. 24-25.
A vehicle parked in front of 49 Knox St. had all of its windows smashed out on Sept. 25
at 9 p.m.
A building at 150 Summer St. had its windows shot out by BBs overnight Sept. 25-26.
A soda machine in front of Captain Morgan’s Tattoos was damaged and had money stolen from it overnight Sept. 25-26.
Thefts
A propane tank was stolen from 117 Commercial St. overnight Sept. 23-24, the suspect also damaged the gas grill in the process.
A vehicle parked outside of 88 Wood St. was burglarized overnight Sept. 23-24.
A gold 20-inch Mongoose BMX bicycle was stolen from 211 Ash St. between 8 and 9:30 p.m. on Sept. 25.
An orange and silver 18-inch Next bicycle was stolen from the rear porch of 17 Webster St. between 7 p.m. on Sept. 9/25 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 26.
A laptop computer was stolen from the Ladd Library on Sept. 26 prior to 6 p.m.
Burglaries
An apartment at 125 Pierce St. was burglarized by forcing entry through the front door between 1 and 9 p.m. on Sept. 25. Prescription meds were stolen.
An apartment at 295 Bates St. was burglarized overnight Sept. 25-26.
An apartment at 226 Blake St. was burglarized between 3 and 7 p.m. on Sept. 26. Entry was gained through an unlocked window. A DVD player, TV, and numerous DVDS were stolen.
Four juveniles were arrested on Sept. 26 at 10:15 p.m. after they were caught in the act of burglarizing the Lewiston Pawn Shop. A neighbor to the business witnessed three juveniles climbing a rear stairwell to access the store from the roof. When an officer arrived, the three suspects were inside of the business. A fourth juvenile was arrested for acting as a lookout during the commission of the crime.
Reckless Conduct Arrests
Daniel Chamberland, 18, and Samuel Warner, 18, were arrested for aggravated reckless conduct on Sept. 25 at 10:30 p.m. after they fired a .22 pistol grip rifle several times on a city street. They then fled the scene into the woods prior to officers arriving. The area around where they had fled was surrounded, and they were quickly located and arrested. This morning, it was discovered that they had actually fired the gun several times into a van across from Hope Haven. Along with the gun, several boxes of ammunition were confiscated that were on their person.
Robbery
Officers responded to Rite Aid on Lisbon Street on Sept. 25 at 5:35 a.m. for a report of a male in the parking lot that appeared to have been assaulted. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim had been robbed and assaulted. Independent witnesses report having seen a black male and a white male chasing the victim up the street previous to the call. He describes the suspect as a black male, late teens or early 20s, wearing a black baseball jersey with blue writing on it.
Aggravated Assault
Officers responded to 12 River St. on Sept. 26 at 11:45 p.m. for a report that a male subject was suffering from stab wounds. Upon arrival, they discovered the victim had received two wounds to each calf that were not life-threatening. He was transported to the hospital for treatment and released shortly thereafter.
Operating Under the Influence Arrest
Nicholas Sirois, 21, was arrested for operating under the influence on Sept. 25 at 3:12 a.m. at 816 Webster St. following a routine traffic stop.
Habitual Offender Notification
Manny Wing, 29, has a suspended license with habitual offender status. His last known address is 24 West Record Road, Poland. He has 17 previous suspension on his driving record. If you see Manny driving, please notify us immediately at 784-6421.
