PERU – Funeral services for Irene T. Marston of Peru were held Friday from the Peru United Baptist Church with the Rev. John Pillsbury officiating. Organist was Alan Hutchinson, Sherry Forgit, soloist, sang “In The Garden.” The congregation hymns included “Victory In Jesus” and “The Old Rugged Cross.” After services, a reception was hosted by the parish fellowship. Pallbearers were Jack Davis, Ed Marston, Thomas Marston, Isaac Marston, Peter Marston and Norman Burgess. Burial was Monday at the Maine Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery, Mount Vernon Road, Augusta. Arrangements were in the care of the Wiles Remembrance Center, Dixfield.
