Anime club
LEWISTON – The Anime Drawing Club has moved to Saturdays. The next meeting will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 6, in the Teen Room at the Lewiston Public Library, 200 Lisbon St. The free club is for ages 15 to 25. Sodality to meet
LEWISTON – St. Patrick’s Rosary Sodality announces two events.
A Corporate Communion will be held at the 8:30 a.m. Mass, Sunday, Oct. 7, followed by coffee and doughnuts in the Msgr. Fitzpatrick Room.
Recitation of the Rosary will take place at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, in the chapel. A short business meeting will be held in the Msgr. Gleason Hall followed by the annual harvest supper. It will be hosted by Chairwoman Nancy Fox and Co-chairwoman Doris Ducharme.
Lodge inspection
AUBURN – Ashlar Lodge 105, AF and AM, will conduct its annual inspection on Monday evening, Oct. 8, at the Auburn Masonic Temple, 1021 Turner St. There will be a 6:30 p.m. supper, with the inspection following at 7:30. Legion to meet
AUBURN – American Legion Post 31 will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, at the post home, 426 Washington St. North. A light lunch will be served.
A membership committee meeting will be held prior to the post meeting.

Society program
MINOT – The Minot Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Minot Town Office, Woodman Hill Road (Route 119). The program will be a talk by John Hemond on the life of Sam Pulsifer. The meetings are open to everyone. Refreshments will be served.
Seniors meeting
AUBURN – The Sacred Heart Golden Age Club will meet Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the church hall. The guest speaker will be Dr. Michael Drouin.
There is a time change for the meal. Lunch will be served at 11:30 a.m. after which Drouin will give a talk. The general meeting will follow, including the election of officers for the coming year.
The menu will consist of a harvest dinner, rolls and dessert. Call Paula at 576-4082 for all reservations. Reservations will also be accepted for the dinner to be held at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the Culinary Arts Center, Central Maine Community College.

Society tea
BOWDOIN – The Bowdoin Historical Society will meet at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at FHC Inc. on Main Street. Bowdoin’s Boston Post Cane recipients, the town’s oldest man and woman, will be honored at a tea. The holders are Alice Morton and Roy Fraser. The public is invited, and light refreshments will be served
Scholarship auction
AUBURN – The Androscoggin Retired Educators Association will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 10, at the Park Avenue Methodist Church. The scholarship auction will begin at 10 a.m. Donations of baked goods and small items for the auction are welcome.
Before lunch at 12:30 p.m. there will be an update on the L/A Museum. After lunch there will be an AARP presentation by Charlene Thompson.
Lunch will be baked stuffed chicken, mashed potato, veggies, rolls and homemade pies for $8. Luncheon reservations should be made on or before Friday, Oct. 5. Make checks out to AREA and send to George and Pat Jacobs, 4 Sprague’s Mill Road, Greene, ME 04236.
Retired educators in the Lewiston-Auburn area who need transportation should call Western Maine Transportation at 784-9335 by Monday, Oct. 8. The transportation will be provided free by a grant from the Jane Ritter Foundation.
Bridge results
LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners at the Multi-Purpose Center on Oct. 1 were: first, Lue Bilodeau and Luke Merry; second, Dick Allen and Richard Balian; third, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; fourth, first in B, Charles Bartlett and Roger Labbe; second in B, Della Starbird and Eileen Potvin.
Games are played at 9 a.m. Mondays and a partner is guaranteed. Call Rosemarie Goodwin at 754-1431 for more information. There will be no game on Columbus Day, Oct. 8.
