Circle to install
RUMFORD – St. Timothy Circle 504, Daughters of Isabella, will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at St. Athanasius and St. John’s Church Hall.
Installation of officers will take place: regent, Angie Arsenault; vice regent, Ceilia Arsenault; recording secretary, Anna Justard; treasurer, Rita Thorne; financial secretary, Doris Bourret.
Committee members are: chairwoman, Dot Benedix, Janet Blouin, Sandra Martin, Margaret Elliot, Helen Chuzas and Sylvina Mahar.
Canned or dry goods can be donated for the annual Thanksgiving food basket raffle.
Class meeting
MEXICO – The Mexico High School Class of 1959 is invited to meet at Dick’s Restaurant at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10.
Cemetery clean-up
PERU – The Demerritt Cemetery Association requests that all artificial arrangements, plant containers or decorations be removed from the cemetery by Saturday,
Oct. 13, in preparation of the final clean up. Any leftovers will be discarded to prepare for the winter.

PACT sessions
RUMFORD – The Parent and Child Together Group 2007-2008 schedule is as follows: Oct. 15 and 22, Nov. 5 and 19, Dec. 3 and 17, Jan. 7 and 14, Feb. 4 and 11, March 3, 10 and 24, April 7 and 14, May 5 and 12.
There are stories, songs, snacks and crafts.
The group is for children in SAD 43, ages 3 to 7, and their parents.
Meetings are held most Mondays throughout the school year from 2:30 to 4 p.m. in Ms. Sullivan’s kindergarten room 105 at Rumford Elementary School. For more information, call Sullivan at 364-8155, ext. 105.
Lloyd reunion
DIXFIELD – The descendants of James C. and Mary Ellen Crawford Lloyd gathered for the annual family reunion at the Mountain View Campground on Aug. 4.
A Hawaiian luau was the theme for this year’s event. A potluck luncheon was served and craft and other items, donated by family members, were raffled and reunion T-shirts were sold for the treasury.
There were 45 in attendance, traveling from various areas around the state and from New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut and California.
The oldest member present was William Morse Sr., 83, of Mexico, and the youngest member was Jordan Elizabeth Hanson, 2, daughter of Troy Hanson and Wendy Vachon of Hollis. Scrapbooks, old photographs and reminiscing were shared.
Members were reminded to submit recipes for the family cookbook.
Susan Pike will continue to be the secretary for the event and Donna Hanson and Cindy Archibald will remain as treasurers. The next reunion will be held on Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Mountain View Campground and subsequent reunions will be the first Saturday of August.
Bridge play
RUMFORD – The Rumford Duplicate Bridge Club held its final game of the season on Sept. 27.
The winners were: first, Anna Cormier; second, Bill Hersey and Bob Soucy; third, Donna and Ozzie Swett. The club decided to give a contribution to the Jane Defrees Scholarship Fund.
