BOSTON (AP) – A man convicted of murder in the killings of a suspected drug dealer and a New Hampshire woman has been sentenced to life in prison.
Craig Smith of Cambridge was convicted last week by a Suffolk Superior Court jury of first-degree murder. He was charged with killing 33-year-old Julion Ceus of Boston and 18-year-old Natalie Sumner of Franklin, New Hampshire, at Ceus’ apartment in January 2006.
A judge Wednesday sentenced the 38-year-old Smith to two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole.
Prosecutors said Smith and an unidentified second gunman fired at five people in the apartment after demanding their cell phones and money.
