FARMINGTON – The Mt. Blue High School Jazz Band will be joined by musicians from the Al Corey Jazz Band for an evening of music and dancing.
The third annual Autumn Dance will take place Oct. 20 at the high school gym. Free dance instruction with Gary Smith, a New York City dance instructor, will be offered from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Live music will be featured from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.
Participants are invited to dress in period attire from the 1930s and 1940s, but it’s not necessary, said Mt. Blue Jazz band conductor Karen Beacham. Semi-formal dress is also welcome.
Tickets are available at Mickey’s Hallmark in Farmington or at the door, adults, $15, $10 for seniors and students.
Included in the admission price are milk and dark chocolate fountains provided by Mountain View Chocolate Shoppe. Bottled water will be available for sale with proceeds benefiting the high school band.
