AUBURN – Following tradition, Marshwood Center, Auburn Residential Care, Chapman House, Odd Fellows, Clover Manor, Sabattus Residential Care Center, Montello Commons and Sarah Frye united to plan and participate in a variety of group and independent activities in honor of National Assisted Living Week.

Mayor John Jenkins of Auburn and Mayor Larry Gilbert of Lewiston helped kick off the event by joining residents at the Hilton Garden Inn. The mayors addressed the week’s theme, “Legacies of Love,” prior to the meal and festivities.

Special group events included dinner at the Hilton Garden, a cruise on the Songo River Queen, bingo at the VFW Hall in Auburn and a trip to Fort Williams. Independent activities also took place in the various facilities throughout the week.
