AUBURN – Three women were formally charged with robbery this week for allegedly attempting to rob a Dunkin’ Donuts clerk at knife point in August.
The women are: Chassidy L. Black, 18, of Gardiner; Savannah L. Stockman, 19, of Auburn; and Elizabeth A. Ferguson, 20, of Lewiston.
Police said the trio lived together in a Lewiston apartment across a bridge from the business.
Ferguson and Stockman went into the Auburn shop on a Saturday night and brandished a large knife, according to witness accounts. Police said the pair demanded money but were refused by a clerk.
The two then ran from the shop back to Lewiston, along with Black, who allegedly served as lookout, police said.
