LEWISTON – The Stanton Bird Club has announced the second bird walk in the Guided Bird Walk Series this fall, led by Stan and Joan De’Orsey.

The walk will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 10, leaving from the Staples parking lot in the Promenade Mall, Lisbon Street, at 8 a.m.

The destination is the Papermill and Ricker Farm Trails in Lisbon for a walk of approximately three miles along a paved surface.

Two weeks ago, participants on the first walk observed and heard 23 species of birds, including three warblers, woodpeckers, ducks, heron and a raven. Those species and more can be expected this week as the fall migration peaks along with the foliage.
