RUMFORD – The River Valley Technology Center, the River Valley Growth Council and the River Valley Chamber of Commerce will host the fourth of six Lunch and Learn seminars. It is titled Basics of Micro Access.
The seminar will run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 17 at the River Valley Technology Center, 60 Lowell St., Rumford. The cost is $10 and includes lunch. River Valley Chamber of Commerce members pay $8. Prepayment is required; there will be no refunds issued. Preregistration is required by calling Lorraine at 369-0396, or e-mail [email protected] by Oct. 15.
This three-hour workshop will go over the basics of how to start using Access, setting up databases, printing reports, selecting and grouping records with specific criteria. Anyone having a PC and/or databases already set up, should bring to class. Most of the class will be working on specific problems attendees have.
Presenter will be Barbara Smith-Baker, owner of Red Hill Natural Foods, Previous to that, she was a computer programmer. She has been using Microsoft Access for 12 years.
The Lunch and Learn Seminars are intended to provide information to entrepreneurs, start-ups and existing businesses in an affordable way. Anyone can gather resources and information for long-term success. In addition, the seminars are intended to facilitate networking among businesses or entrepreneurs in similar activities.
