LEWISTON – Boot Camp for New Dads is an education program for first-time fathers. Taught by fathers, Boot Camp helps new dads step up to the challenge of being a dad and to feel confident about bringing the new baby home.

The workshop will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Advocates for Children, B Street Community Center, 57 Birch St.

The class gives expecting fathers the hands-on practice of taking care of a baby under the guidance of veteran dads, who bring their new babies to class. Along with baby care, the class reviews the role of fathers and how to meet the needs of mothers.
